PRAYER   POINTS

Turning generations and nations around starts with personal repentance.  The younger generations are drowning in a sea of confusion, having been immersed in cultures that are insidiously saturated with witchcraft, satanic worship and anti-Christ themes, imagery and teachings.  Truth has been replaced with subjective feelings and delusions;  'tolerance' is the politically correct term for apostasy and defiance of God's Laws; our common language has been hijacked by 'twisters' and 'hood-winkers' who are set on a wicked course of perversity and deception.  Paganism, mysticism, idolatry and the worship of false gods are not just sins of the "Old Testament"; they unfortunately permeate every aspect of latter day life also.

As a result, our kids are hurting in every nation at this time.  Many of us older folk scratch our heads and wonder how it all came to be.  Most assume it's all come upon us from evil political powers or radical social movements, but God's Word says that sin is borne of sin, and that the sins of one generation will have ramifications to the third and fourth generation unless there is true repentance and turning away from wickedness.  This being the case, we can no longer keep pointing our fingers at powers external to ourselves to blame for the heartaches and hardships of these precious generations of children who are most beloved of the LORD.

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones, only in the name of a disciple, truly he will never lose his reward.
— Jesus Christ, Matthew 10: 42

We believe it's time for each of us to accept responsibility for the role we have personally played in contributing to these generations of children who are trying to survive in essentially Godless families, schools and communities.  Just as flowers need water and fresh air to survive, so too our kids need the Living Water of God's Word and the Life Breath of God's Holy Spirit that comes through faith in and relationship with Jesus Christ in order to thrive and 'live abundantly' in the harsh conditions of our modern world.

The Lord God wants to hear the sincere cries of your heart so please feel free to pray according to the conviction of God's Spirit within you.  Just as God often speaks to us in His "still, small voice" so too our prayers are also effective when expressed by the "still, small voice" - and even groanings - from deep within one's spirit.   May this be a a time when "Deep calls to deep at the sound of His waterfalls" (Psalm 42: 7a).

We offer our prayers as a parent offers a thirsty child a glass of life-giving Water (Matthew 10: 42) or their hungry child some seed-filled Bread (Luke 11: 11-13; John 6: 34, 35).  We ask that our Father God would revive and nourish their souls with these humble prayer offerings, borne of love.  We do this in memory of Your love for us (1 John 4: 19-21), manifest through the sacrifice of Your own beloved son, Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach), given to us that we too may know Life, in abundance and forevermore (John 10: 10-18).

For those who would like some prayer prompts, we suggest you start with prayerful, quiet introspection. In humble and reverential fear of Father God, invite the Holy Spirit to convict you of the things for which you need to personally repent, and then also the things for which we need to repent corporately as the Body of Christ.

In the spirit of Ezekiel 33, we "sound the trumpet" (below) on some of the most common "sins of commission" and "sins of omission" that have no doubt contributed to our younger generations today being spiritually 'lost' and psychologically damaged.   Although by no means exhaustive, we believe this list is especially pertinent for those from the post-World War 2 generations of parents and grandparents in Western nations (born from 1950-1980).

Sins of Commission

These are the things we've actively done in body or mind that contravene God's Word and will for humanity.

Personal sins of commission may include: rebelling against God by putting greater faith in things other than God to control, empower or guide one's life - including one's own self; blasphemy or swearing; lying and dishonesty; malice or envy; accusation, slander or gossip; deception or theft;  worship &/or giving credence to other gods, their symbols, practices, rituals & teachings; participating in cultural activities and/or forms of entertainment that are unholy in God's sight &/or contain insidious or explicit satanic or anti-Christ themes, lyrics or imagery; idolatry of other people and their achievements;  idolatry of animals, statues or objects;  sins of the flesh and heart eg. covetousness, greed, hatred and lust; all self-seeking behavior & hedonism; self-abusive pleasure-seeking behavior including: gluttony; alcohol and other drug abuse; sexual sins, marital infidelities & pornography; adoration and worship of man-made creations, knowledge and technologies; sins of pride (eg. vainglory in one's own or another's thoughts, intelligence, achievements, beauty/appearance or image, amassed wealth and possessions; attitudes of competitiveness; joy in the demise or sufferings of others; criticising or degrading others); and/or sins of power (eg. vainglory in one's own social position, status, power and/or authority/capacity to influence others;  overt or covert neglect or abuses of other people, animals or environment.)

Parental or corporate sins of commission that directly affect our kids may include:  demonstrating faith in things other than God for the future security and safety of the family;  role modelling a disregard or disrespect for God's Creation, Sovereignty, Goodness and Authority over our lives;  teaching false theories, theologies and pedagogies that are contrary to God's Word;  failing to protect children from all the various forms and degrees of child abuse and neglect within both the family and public domains (including things as extreme as abortion, through to being too busy to be physically &/or emotionally available to children during their times of need); teaching or modelling a disrespect for maintaining the health of the human body (eg. unhealthy diet, lack of physical activity, lack of meaningful socio-emotional connection within and outside of the home, often due to a preference for TV & technology);  exposure to unhealthy role models of adult behaviour through our own sin as parents and grandparents (eg. anger & interpersonal conflict; selfishness; discord and/or domestic violence; unfaithfulness in marriage; drug and alcohol abuse; marital separation and divorce);  teaching children to be self-centred, materialistic and/or prideful (by our example, behavior and demonstrated values);  exposing children to unholy literature, music and media; supporting or advocating for abortion;  supporting or advocating for the various sodomite movements including homosexual 'marriage' and the "Safe Schools Program";  sexualising children (eg. through dress, behavior, language, exposure to adult themes, imagery and behavior in vitro and in media);  teaching children to be hedonistic and/or to 'worship' other gods and to make idols of other things or people (eg. money, "personal success", "personal happiness", brand names, tattoos, actors, singers, hobbies, computer games, TV/movies); teaching children to be aggressive and disrespectful to God, other people and authority figures; teaching a disrespect of human life (eg. by our role modelling &/or the forms of 'entertainment' we provide through toys, books/magazines, computer and other electronic games and media, TV, movies, popular music, real life experiences in the private and public domains).

Sins of Omission

These are the things we've failed to do in order to fulfill God's Divine plan for humanity.

Personal sins of omission may include:  failing to provide a safe, secure home life for children;  apostasy (ignoring or failing to remember and acknowledge the Lord God first in all things in our lives, and substituting His Sovereignty with other things or gods; lack of reverential fear and awe of God;  taking God and the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ for granted);  failing to worship, pray, thank and trust the Lord in all things; failing to read and study God's Word daily;  failing to repent daily of our sins; failing to ascribe glory and authority to the Lord God in private and in public; failing to keep the Sabbath; failing to tithe & commit our finances to the Lord; failing to be kind and generous; failing to care for widows and orphans; failing to honor fathers and mothers; failing to resist the eradication of Jesus' Holy Name and other Christian symbols and behavior in our homes, community and laws/government (eg. not reading the BIble or praying together as families); parents failing to love and honor each other and their offspring in accordance with God's guidelines for marriage and parenting;  failing to fellowship regularly with other believers and to support each other; failing to give generously to support the poor, orphans and widows, and to demonstrate compassion and care for all our fellow human beings;  failing to do the will of God and/or to use the resources, gifts, talents and abilities that the Lord has mercifully given to us to use; failing to protect and advocate for the sanctity of marriage, the family and the church; failing to show respect and adequate care for the elderly and disabled; failing to give our children enough of our time, energy, discipline, unconditional love and undivided attention, and to ensure they have equal opportunity to form secure, healthy relationships with both biological parents;  failing to protect and advocate for the value of children's lives from the moment of conception; failing to protect and advocate for the sanctity of children's innocence, and their rights to be protected from unholy influences and indoctrination until they reach adulthood in body and mind; failing to actively lead and instruct children "in the Way they should go" in accordance with the fullness and sanctity of God's Holy Word and will; failing to advocate for children's rights to hear and be taught the uncompromised Word of God, and for purity in the worship of God within churches, Sunday schools, youth groups and schools.

As children learn what they live, our sins of omission and commission will automatically impact our children, causing them to falter or fail in their knowledge of God and therefore in their ability to successfully lead lives that are pleasing to God and blessed (especially favored) by Him.  Sadly, many 'children' in the under 35 year-old age groups do not know Jesus Christ as their personal LORD and Saviour, and therefore are not saved or enjoying the blessing of eternal life in intimacy with their Heavenly Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

For all of these sins (and more besides), we must therefore REPENT and RECOMMIT to living our lives differently in the future.  We must tear down all idols and turn from our wicked ways, committing to live lives of purity and holy obedience to the Word and will of God.

After this step of heartfelt repentance has been completed please pray for your own children and those of the younger generations, as Holy Spirit leads you.  Some of the most obvious sufferings include being raised in cultures characterized by: the absence of God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ; famine for the Word of God and prayer life in private homes, schools, media and even some Sunday Schools and youth groups; anti-Christ ideologies being taught in the education system and mainstream media;  children who are forgotten, unwanted, devalued, neglected, abused and/or unloved;  abortion and other forms of violence and murder; blasphemy and cursing;  lack of protection of childhood innocence; lack of protection of children's physical, psychological and spiritual safety and welfare; exposure to sexual sins, pornography, rape and perversions in TV, media and in many cases, real life experience;  domestic violence;  child abuse (sexual, physical, psychological, spiritual); child slavery; absent parents (including an opportunity to know and be known by both biological parents); mental illnesses; drug and alcohol exposure and dependencies; self-harm behaviors (including suicide); self-defiling behaviors (including tattoos); children burdened with adult responsibilities (eg. mentally ill or drug-affected parents); cultures that promote envy, covetousness, competitiveness, greed, materialism, hedonism, lewdness, apostasy and personal pride; cultures that value knowledge and science over God's Wisdom and Truth; homelessness and/or rejection by parents and/or step-parents; children who are emotionally orphaned (fatherless and/or motherless) and/or caught in 'parent wars'; hard-heartedness and repression of 'soft' feelings (eg love, care, trust, kindness); exposure to demonic themes, imagery, 'entertainment' and 'worship' in media, TV/movies, music, community and cultural festivals

Please join with us in REDEDICATING ourselves and our children (including all the 'children' aged <35yrs of the nations) to:  reverentially fear the LORD GOD Almighty; zealously love God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with all our hearts, minds and souls;  study and obey His Holy Word; actively trust and follow after Him in all things; to lead humble lives in quiet submission and obedience to the LORD; and to joyfully worship and serve our Sovereign Creator God alone as the One True Holy God of all.

In Matthew 14: 22-33 we read that the feet (soles) of Jesus and Peter miraculously walked in peace and authority upon the top of the turgid seas in the final hours of the day, known as "the fourth watch" (3am-6am).  It was their faith in the Divine Authority of the spoken Word of God that initiated their faith to do so, and it was ultimately the Power of the God-breathed Living Word of God (in the form of Jesus Christ) that calmed the blustery (demonic) storm.  May that same faith (borne of close relationship with and unmitigated trust in Father God, through Jesus Christ) empower our kids to arise and step 'out of the boat' of cultural conformity. May these precious 'souls' trample down and rise upon the seas of wickedness, and take control of the destructively lawless 'spirits of the air' by their doubtless faith in the Sovereign Authority of God's Word and the Omnipotent Power of Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God.  May our merciful Father God, in His everlasting love, call His own children to Himself.  May He open their ears to hear and respond to His urgent call, open their eyes to see and recognise Jesus clearly for Who He Is, and outpour the Living Breath of His own Holy Spirit to resuscitate our children 'from death to life' and call them His own.  Amen and amen!

Thank you!
